Editing ISO 9660 Label

$ isolabel image.iso DISC_OF_MYSTERY

This changes ISO 9660 volume label of image.iso to DISC_OF_MYSTERY.

Editing ISO 9660 Label (Verbose)

$ isolabel --verbose image.iso DISC_OF_MYSTERY

This changes ISO 9660 volume label of image.iso to DISC_OF_MYSTERY too, but also display the internal details of how volume label was changed.

Editing Joliet Label (Verbose, on Windows)

C:\isolabel>isolabel --verbose --joliet image.iso "Disc of Mystery"

This changes Joliet volume label of image.iso to Disc of Mystery, and also show verbose operation details. (ISOLabel running on Microsoft Windows XP SP3)

Editing ISO 9660 Label (Verbose, relaxed restriction)

$ isolabel --verbose --force image.iso 'Access Denied!'

This changes ISO 9660 volume label of image.iso to Access Denied! which is not normally allowed in ISO 9660, via the use of '--force' (or '-f') option, and also show verbose operation details.

Editing Joliet Label (Verbose, relaxed restriction)

$ isolabel --verbose --joliet --force image.iso 'Access Denied :('

This changes Joliet volume label of image.iso to Access Denied :( which is not normally allowed per Joliet specification, via the use of '--force' (or '-f') option, and also show verbose operation details.

Editing Joliet Label (Verbose, non-English)

$ isolabel --verbose --joliet image.iso 'พากย์ไทย'

This changes Joliet volume label of image.iso to พากย์ไทย (means Thai dub in Thai language), and also show verbose operation details. The system is using th_TH locale with TIS-620 encoding.

$ isolabel --help

Help screen shows brief program usage and available options. It can be accessed via '--help' (or '-h') option.

About Screen

$ isolabel --version

About/version screen shows program version and author information. It can be accessed via '--version' (or '-V') option.
